I have always loved building new wheels from scratch and over the last few weeks I been hard at it. From slick carbon/Phil Wood track wheels like the ones in the pic, to classic low profile alloy for the retro resto. Test wheels to be made available for most work I do so come on in and experience the difference a quality hand built set of wheels will make to your ride.

The sweetest victories are those that are hardest earn't

Well if there is one person who stood up to be counted at this years Tour De France it was Cadel "cuddles" Evans.
The performance layed out last night in the individual time trail was something to behold. After 3 days with back against the wall to come out and smash those who challenged him showed the heart of the man indeed. I hope everybody gets a chance to see just how good that ride was.
The challengers threw everything they could at him but just had to sit back and watch in awe as time and time again he dug deeper and deeper to realize the dream.
Tonight he gets a nice quiet ride into Paris while the sprinters go at it for the last chance at bragging rights.
Hats of to man with a big heart.

My new Specialized Rockhopper SL 29er Single speed.
I laced some of Velocity's new Blunt SL tubeless rims to XT hubs with DT Swiss competition Spokes for the wheel and they came up a treat.
Forks are Suntour Epicon. Not very widely know in MTB circles but seem nice and plush from first impression.
I will have to start the weight weeny bit soon I guess to drop it below 10 kg.

Specialized Demo 8
Being a 66kg whippet more inclined to inflict the hurt on the uphill not the downhill, I never really got the downhill bug.But after hooking up Andy from Ballarat with a new Demo 8,
I now kind of get it.
What a piece of work. There is just so much that has gone into these frame sets.
One reason why Sam Hill wins is his partnership with Specialized for sure.
Oh, and the fact he is is just plain insane on a bike.
