Will be running a tour update on the window of the store for the duration along with tour specials.

 Have been told the new SLX01's are on the water and will be on the floor in just over 2 weeks. Our first one will be a demo bike so come on in for a test ride. New Allegro's have landed with re-worked singlespeeds and some new hub geared bikes also. Word is there will be some lugged track frames available too.

Friday Ride

As always, the friday ride is still kicking along. Every friday @ 6 we leave from the shop in Flemington and ride to the Mountain Goat brewery in Richmond. Try to take a different route each week to make it more interesting. Not a race just a social pace. All welcome.

Olmo

SLX01 due soon..

The new SLX01 will be in store in a couple of weeks. 52cm only first up and a steady supply of all sizes from late july.

New SLX Racemaster from BMC

We were given the update on the 2009 model SLX01 from BMC last week. I love the new design mostly. We did a frame a few years back with the same sort of bonding technique and it was a big success. Using the test rig in the last post we tore the aluminium out of the seat tube before the carbon let go. Not so sure on the cable routing in the downtube. This set-up is prone to cables rattling away like crazy. 

New bench

Got my new building bench at home. This was once used for doing fatigue testing, the control module is in the background and one of the loadcell's attached to a pneumatic ram cam be seen. Not sure what is first off the rank, will see what tubing turns up. A big bundle of Columbus should be showing up at the end of the week. I still have some ideas in carbon I want to try out so maybe a mix of steel/carbon could be on the cards.

All the new white Vittoria tyres are now on the floor along with some KHS Flite 100 fixies and some Flite 100 framesets. New BMC SL01 on the floor and new stock of Knogs. 

Have been doing the reg. friday ride to the Goat and will keep it up right through winter. Leave from the shop at 6pm and find your own way home. back into the wed. night mtb rides also. Love the  night rides in the singletrack. I have a headset up that Allegro is going to have some Polished lug track frames due in August/September.  Updates as I get them.

Got a few Allegro singlespeeds in the shop now. Onya1 700c commuter and the M1 Cro Mo hardtail. These are a great little bike, no bells or whistles, just a nice easy ride. 

Also on the way is an order of Vittoria Rubino and Zaffiro all white folding tyres. Should be in mid april. Knogs are also on the shelf. Just the coolest bike light out there.

Monday the 10th of March

First  post here for us @ Cyclic doing the blog thing. The shop is ticking along nicely now with a steady run of servicing, new bikes builds people after that something a little different. Having taken on BMC recently is a great thing for us. The product is sensational and it is so refreshing to see a frame company showing something different as design and level of finish goes.

I am going to keep Velocity Deep 's in stock in at least 4 colours at all times as well as a set of singlespeed mtb wheels and hubs. Track hubs and flop flop's are on order also for those who like to build their own.

One thing I want to try and maintain throughout is that if use it and like we will keep it in the shop. If not, we won't re-order.
